Don't really know the answer to that one, all I can say is that I bought a Sak about 3 weeks ago and it has NO Allen key screws on it, you unscrew the end cap with a big spanner...... so I would also like to know the answer to you're question.

I think iv'e been slipped an old one, because when i was looking at the hmr a few months ago the shop owner put on a SAK and it was on too tight and it came apart with out undoing any screws,i just realised this the other day when i went to clean it.although in the magizine advert for the new SAK it says it's 10% quiter,i remember reading an article, i think it was in shooting sports mag,the guy said not to be wasting your money on a new one because it was just as quiet as the old one.

No performance difference whatsoever, I have both.

The new ones to be honest are a pain in the **** as every time I take mine off, it unscrews the cap and comes to pieces no matter how much I tightened it.

that's what i wanted to hear,.,.cheers FISTER :P seen that happen with the new ones the guy in the shop had it on 5 sec. and then it came apart when he tried to get it off he looked a bit embarrased :)
