scolopax
I run a handful of tunnel traps (mk4 Fenns) around the wood where I release a few pheasants for later in the season. There are currently five traps set and in the last few days I have caughts a fair stack of weasels, Recent catches are: Sunday a big dog stoat and 2 weasels, Monday 2 weasels, Tuesday 1 weasel and today 3 weasels. All from just the five traps!! The total for the month so far is: 10 Weasels 2 Stoats 3 Brown Rats 2 Field Mice (collateral damage!) Although I am there at least once, often twice a day I have never seen a stoat or weasel on the shoot apart from the ones I trap.

lurcherboy
Very well done on your vermin control and the reason you never see them is that you make too much noise. LB
scolopax
Another two weasels today, nothing for the previous two days. Oh, and a young rat that had got itself trapped in the trough of a manola feeder and expired, death by misadventure!!
