jonno 357
Its a bit of macabre story but my Gran died 2 years ago(was 99yrs) and she always said she would donate her body to medical science. She didn't die of cancer. They don't want your body if you have died of cancer Anyway last week Mum and Dad got a letter from teacher training hospital in Leeds. They are conducting a sort of memorial service and that our family has been asked to attend. The trainee surgeon( slicer and dicer) who has been practicing on my Gran for the last 2 years will also be attending the service Anyway I won't be there as I away in Cyprus but what sprung to mind was when she died 2years ago I had 3 days off work to mourn and funeral etc. I wonder if work would give me another 3 days again ? Hunter
Its up to you to push for that. But to be honest.. shes gone now. All thats left is the remains of med students work that can finally be laid to rest. In my opinion, the first funeral you were there for, is the most important. Would be interesting trying to explain why you need a second funeral for Gran to your boss
