Guest rabgoat Posted September 9, 2007 Report Share Posted September 9, 2007 iv'e tried the two diff methods of uploading and still nowt,it just says uploading,on the second method iv'e tried it is at 100% but dosen't finish, there must be sommit im not doing,im gonna give up and go out and shoot some harp cans full of water,are we allowed to do that on a sunday in this part of the world. mr lee Posted September 9, 2007 Report Share Posted September 9, 2007 Are you uploading jPegs, Bitmaps or Raw files? RAW and Bitmaps do take time. jPegs should load up pretty quickly though. Hardy Posted September 10, 2007 Report Share Posted September 10, 2007 When you're saving pictures it's not just the size but also the resolution & the format. For the internet anything over 72dpi will not display as intended well as that's all monitors run at. JPG & GIF are the best formats to save them in as they use image compression so the file sizes are a lot more condensed. Bitmap (BMP), TIF & other similar formats do not compress the image so the file size is many times larger. RAW files are not really suitable to view online as they are in the basic format of the camera. It is beneficial when you take the picture as you can do more adjustments to the image but each manuafacturer has thier own conversion software to view/convert them.
