(you can’t legally keep it unless it’s the newer deactivated )

the new deactivated firearms are welded so don’t work.

also the latest update 2020 you have to notify the home office that you have a deactivated firearm ( no cost involved)

That’s brilliant thank you. I will check the paper work for the deactivation and will get it correctly deactivated if needs be. I can’t bring myself to lose it so whatever it takes. I have notified the home office that I have the gun in my possession. So we are all good there 👍

No need to panic if you cannot find the paperwork. It it was deactivated in the UK, or rather if that was certified at a UK Proof House, there will be a date stamped on the gun. Look for the two letters DA and the year it was stamped will be under those letters.
