Mr.C
Can any of you pcp fettlers tell me what difference you think an oversized hammer spring will make, apart from making it a little harder to cock? scarecrow243
a stronger spring will put the power output higher you may go over the 12ft 1lb limit
Mr.C
I'm getting occasional drops in power and wondered if a heavier spring might be a factor. The rifle is well under 12ftlbs chronoed.
scarecrow243
since you have a chrono you may just need a new hammer spring if the spring is week a longer spring may not allow you to adjust the power down if it goes hot also it may stop the gun from cocking as not enough space have a look on you tube for your rifle to see if anyone else has replaced the hammer spring that will give you a better idea
Mr.C
I'll replace the spring and be done with it. It'll eliminate that from the equation. There isn't much that can go wrong, there's no regulator.
