samboy
Hi gang. Has anyone on here adjusted the trigger pull on a 457 ?. Looks easy enough on you tube but watching it and doing it are two different things. Thanks all.
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
No idea but the 452 triggers are simple to do. I have a from new HMR & the trigger needs doing, one day I'll get around to doing it. My old 22lr was well used so smooth compared but I decided to try different springs only to discover the sides of the trigger blade are very brittle. My 22lr now has a timney trigger & a completely different beast.

samboy
Hi gang. As above i followed youtube instructions on making CZ trigger pull lighter and it has made no difference at all. I also watched another chap doing it and his was the same. I altered the grub screw in and out and it was about 2 1/2 to 3 lb. My 452 is 1/2 lb. Will ring rfd tuesday for advice.
samboy
Hi gang. Have just looked at the trigger spring on my 457 and it is different to my 452. The 452 spring is like a Biro spring and the 457 is like a paper clip shaped spring so i don't know what to do next. Rfd suggested a good polishing of the trigger parts but i'm not so sure. To put a new trigger in would not be worth it so i will give it a couple more outings then sell it if i'm not happy. Trouble is i've been spoilt with the 452 trigger. THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
My Timney is set extremely light, too light for most I think buy I'm used to it & prefer it that light, touch & go ! If you can polish the sears. I think it's too stiff rather than strength of the spring. My 22lr was well used, an ex gamekeepers gun & the trigger was std but light & smooth compared to my new hmr so that indicates it wore down to smooth metal with better radius edges. samboy
Just been told i have been looking at the wrong spring. The one i should be looking at is in the trigger itself. So i will have to punch the pin out of the trigger and put a new spring in. Just got to find the right spring.
