myuserid
I just received a Husqvarna 340 which has arrived in a blue box. As I understand blue boxed chainsaws are for the US market and not UK as such they not not have any warranty and are not legal in the UK. On the side of the box it has the serial number etc and under country it does have GB, but I cannot find an EU stamp. The company it was purchased from also did not do a pre-delivery check, so as I understand the Husqvarna warranty is void, is this correct? webber
Does the product carry the CE mark? If not you should return to your supplier for a refund and advise trading standards. webber
myuserid
The company just got back to me, they said Husqvarna are now switching over to blue boxes and the warranty is now covered with their invoice which they have just sent. Just seen the CE stamp on the top of the chainsaw, also has one in the back of the instruction book. The 340e is a good piece of kit, been cutting logs all day!
