Description

Parker Hale '801' 12 bore over and under.

These guns were made in the Winchester Olin-Kodensha plant in the 1980s and are excellent quality. It features the Miroku-designed superposed action that was used for the Winchester 101XTR models, Nikko/Shadow guns and several others.

This gun is equally at home on game or sporting clays, or as a posh pigeon gun. I've even shot geese with it in Orkney. However, as I use 20 bores for 99% of my shooting, this gun has had less than 500 cartridges through it in the 10 years I've had it. It has been 100% reliable in that time, but is surplus to requirements.

Some very minor marks overall but looking great for it's age. The stock is nicely proportioned with a semi-pistol grip and fitted with a kick-eez recoil pad. The chequering is still sharp and there is no loss of blueing.

It's choked US Improved Modified (top) and Improved Cylinder (bottom) which equates to UK 3/4 and 1/4. It has a hold-open toplever and auto safety which incorporates the barrel selector. The barrels have a ventilated top rib, bead sight and mechanical ejectors. The action is machine-engraved with rose and scroll bouquets.

I'll include a slab of decent game cartridges in the price.
