It doesn't matter how much it's fixed, in your head it is still damaged. If you like the new gun and are happy to shoot normal steel through it with a sensible and appropriate choke, then I hope you love the new gun! Cheers my friend I’ve just ordered optima HP extended choke 1/2 3/4 for the silver pigeon The mk38 shot fine no damage to inside the barrel but as you said in my head the self inflicted mark I put on it I just couldn’t get my feelings back for the gun 😊😊😊

I just didn’t get it, that was all. 🤷♂️ As regards your OP, if your only intention is to use standard steel, then you can shoot standard steel through ANY choke in a standard nitro proofed shotgun, so a S or fleur delys is irrelevant. It is clear however, by subsequent posts, that you ARE concerned with steel shot proofing, which your Beretta doesn’t have, so I’m puzzled again as to why you would buy it? I just find your entire post baffling. I should add that Teague ( possibly for insurance purposes ) recommend nothing tighter than 1/2 for standard steel in nitro proofed guns, and 1/4 for HP steel, even in those guns proofed for HP steel. Scully my post bit old but just let u know I got the MK38 back on my permit and kept the silver pigeon as well now have a trap gun and sporter Thanks for the advice
