THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Awhile ago I'm sure I read (& replied) to a post about RWS Z Lang 22lr ammo. Someone from South Wales was struggling to find a supply. If anyone is interested I have found some in the Midlands.
sandspider
Ha, that may have been me! Thanks, but I managed to find some eventually. Newavon Arms near me were no help at all, alas.
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Glad to hear you got sorted. Found 2250 @ £8.50 a box, discount about £7.80 for bulk. Getting a few box's to try them out & see how they group in my CZ.
sandspider
I like them, they group well in my cz, about an inch below normal subs at 70m, or pretty close to the same zero at 40m!
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Didn't expect that ! Getting some this w/end but a few weeks before I can try them out. I've got a gadget from America to convert RN to HP. If my CZ likes them I might get a few more & do them as HP's. Save deciding rifle of the day, air or powder, allways take the wrong one !! sandspider
Ah, sorry- I meant z Lang at 40m have about the same impact point as subs at 70m, not that both have the same zero at 40m! Not quite sure what you mean by converting RN to HP?
sandspider
Round nose to hollow point?!
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
A large bottom die you put the bullet in then rods go down the center to re form the head. Sort of flatten the tip then punch a hole then widen it. Bit of a faff but a handy tool on occasions. Havn't used it for ages but ideal for occasions like this, just re form a few for the odd task. See how it goes with accuracy first though.
sandspider
Given that I find hollow points generally less accurate, I'd guess that homemade hollow points would be even worse? Be interested to hear how you get on!
