Miserableolgit
Also worth noting that wood only stoves tend to have a 316 grade stainless flexible liner fitted while multi fuel are advised to have 904 grade which, although higher cost is more resistant to the corrosive substances produced by coal etc. Running a stove hot enough to get the flue heated enough all the way up helps reduce condensation and build up of tar that can eventually lead to reduction on gas flow. We chopped our wood only Hunter Herald stove for a mulifuel which although a smaller burning area has an integral oven and hotplate. We are all electric here so a backup means of cooking if the power goes out is handy. Also we still have had a bunker of anthracite left over from when we had the solid fuel AGA converted to electric some years ago.
