Without getting into a debate about who does or does not get their working dogs vaccinated and why as in 60+ years of multi working dog ownership I've more than likely heard and read all the pro's and cons before. For those that do get their dogs jabbed have you heard anything about the Lepto 2 vaccine being discontinued so the only choice now will be Lepto 4.

My vet told me that the lepto 4 would be better for a working dog due to the extra benefits something to do with water I believe maybe this is the reason but haven’t heard anything myself

This could be another card in the bag o' tricks to sell more product at higher price... or it might be fact, or partly fact.

As there are five or so manufacturers of Lepto 2 it seems unlikely that it will be discontinued by all of them. Discontinued by some..?  Possibly but probably not all.

Of course the vet practices that are pushing the "discontinued button" may actually mean that the product from their "preferred" supplier is going to be discontinued however they will not tell you that  Lepto 2 is still available , although perhaps only by special order via pharma companies ' representatives / aka sales force. After all it would impact their loyalty discount received for only selling a particular Company's product.

AS Always ....Shop around for alternative suppliers.
