Oly
Hoping for a free one mate - hence liquer bribe! I would offer some shooting on some of the land on which I shoot in return - but a fair few of the farmers are a bit funny with 'guests'. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oly
Cheers mate, like I said in my PM though, Canada's are supposed to be foul the eat (no pun intended) so unless he has other species present it may be a non-starter. Thanks for offer though, much appreciated.

Oly
Interesting to hear you recipe for Canada breasts...will have to try that sometime - will be after a whole goose for Xmas though. Greys and Pinks are normally good for the table though aren't they?

anser2
I do not know who told you canadas are poor eating , but I suspect they have never eaten one. Canadas are by far the best eating goose. Pinks fine , greys ok , but had some real fork benders and whitefronts can be a bit strong at times . All depends on what they have been feeding on. Go for canadas , eaten 50-60 of them and never a bad one yet.
salisburykeeper
canada goose is great for eating, its just a myth that they are "tough and stringy"i bet if you where served canada and another goose side by side cooked well, i doubt you would tell the difference

They only go tough if you cook them to fast. If you have not tried them dont knock it. You will be very surprised . There is stacks of meat for the whole family and everyone will like it. My kids cant get enough of them which is unusual as they are fussy eaters. Every time i go shooting there begging me to get them another goose, the only trouble is they have gone elsewhere now
