Question about BSA spitfires

The Spitfire is an excellent gun for the money. It comes in standard fill (sf) and high fill (hf). The hf version is way better and will charge from a scuba tank or pump. The sf version requires the buddy bottle. It does fill to 232 bar though so it's a fair effort on a pump. They do tend to slowly leak a little too (not all - mine didn't) so charge shortly before using it.

blooper im not too sure about the price of these but if your considering a pcp it would be worth looking long and hard at the s200, once you get past the two piece stock it really is a great rifle! and if your using a pump it only has a small resevoir so not much pumping! though the down side of this is not many shots

but you will find it hard to find a rifle as accurate and as quiet as the S200 in the sub £250 (expecially if your getting second hand!) and try if you can to get to get the mk1 as opposed the the plasticky MK2.

hope this helps you out a little

Or buy a good second hand gas ram rifle.

I had a look at a spitfire and decided not to buy it (mangled seal on a "fresh from the box" one... didn't like the finish on it) and then saw a Falcon FN12 and bought that instead.

Failing that, go for something like an HW97k. My dad has one and loves it. Even my mother bought one (and she hates guns), so it must be good!
