sc1802
Hello, i am new to shotguns and am looking to buy my first gun. I have been looking around and found a Beretta Silver pigeon IV including soft and hard cases for £950 Beretta 12 gauge 687 Silver Pigeon IV Over and Under second hand Shotgun Barrel: 28", Chokes: Multi & Multi. FIELD GUN GEL-TEK RECOIL PAD TRU GLOW FRONT SIGHT BERETTA GUN SLIP ABS CASE, ONLY FIRED AROUND 40 SHOTS MINT Is this a good deal and will it be ok for pigeons and clays? What do i need to look out for? Cheers
gibby
That sounds a good price for the gun. What i would look for is the condition down the bore and the tightness of the action, if it feels loose i would give it a second thought. I've found with Beretta that your rarely get problems with rust and i've never found a common fault on them, to tell the truth i've never had to fix/repair any i've had. If that's a dealer price, most will be willing to knock a little something off for cash. Gibby
webber
If the gun fits you get it bought. I had one and loved the gun. I only part exed it because one of the guns in my dreams was staring me in my face. I now wish that I had kept the gun as my son now shoots quire regularly, and he enjoyed using the gun. webber

sc1802
The Chokesare : Multi & Multi What combination will be best for pigeons?
webber
1/4 & 1/2. Because the gun is multi choked it will be slightly heavier, but this is a good thing if you wish to shoot clays. Like I said earlier. If the gun fits, get it bought. webber
