Rookie
Hi.. I'm mainly a rough shooter, but recently iv started doing more clays at my local club. I own a Franchi Harrier and im after a set of extended chokes to swap and change to suite each stand. Could anyone give me some advice on extended chokes and where to purchase them from. Thanks. LEFTY478
I had a Franchi Harrier and unless they changed recently, they use Beretta Mobile chokes. You should be able to order extended mobile chokes through your local RFD. As an example: Teague (Very good) made, extended chokes, to suite mobile barrel...£28.50 shown here IIRC, Mungler got a set of five, plus case and key for £120 by buying direct from Nigel Teague. jayward
you want to change chokes @ every stand to suit the targets !!! you got a range finder also ? genuinely i have never seen any one doing this and as the saying goes if your not pointing in the right place you wont break it !!! don't take this wrong im not having a go it just seems strange to me i gave my trap gun to a top gun @ my club and he hit everything the reason i did this was i was wondering if it was creating a handicap on the sports ground link for you teaguechokes
Rookie
Thanks for the replies chap's. Dont get me wrong, i do not intend to change chokes on every stand i shoot but for instance, i shot my local shoot on boxing day and on the rabbit stand, i felt i could have benifited with having a more open choke. Like you say, at the end of the day if your not pointing the gun in the right place, your not going to break the clay, but i always feel the personal confidence is key... and confidence in your set-up is paramount. A quick change would just be a nice choice to have i guess.... Or am i just being a tart? Cheers.....
