bobt
I too have never paid, I have all the land I need, and can get more just for asking as most of my mates are farmers, I can ask them to ask whoevers land I want to go on. I get local farmers dropping me a couple of boxes of 22 rimfire off with a hint the rabbits in the bottom field are getting out of hand, our local shoot is mostly all farmers, the none farmers do the keepering, so 4 of us wander about on our own bit whenever we want. offer to beat on a local shoot, turn up do a good job and you will have all the shooting you can cope with usually. hawkeye
Just tell him you are fine paying him £200 for the year if he chucks in a couple of thousand cartridges. Some of mine give me those without any charge to shoot over their land, also get an invite to the beaters day shoot and a walk round at the end of the season clearing up the cock birds. Guess it depends where you live and how lucky you are with getting permission? Welcome back rooster nice to see you posting again where have you been hiding ??
