Magpies are gay
Hello, i am annoyed!!! I was planing to go up to my woods to day to go squirilling and rabbiting. But when i came around to checking my zero, it was all bummed up! I tryed to re-zero it, i even took 3 shots before i made one adjustment. But none of the pellets were hitting any were near each other. So i tryed oiling the spring....took 5 shots...nothing changed...so i tryed taking off the scope, putting it back on, checking if the mounts were on tight but not to tight!...tryed re-zeroing again....STILL NOTHING... What could be wrong with it, the spring isnt even that old!!!! I have had the gun since christmas....!!!
Vulcha
I read in a magazine that if you put clear nail polish on the screws or your mounts, they hold better so stop your scope from creeping. Are you using differant pellets? If you start using a differant pellet, everything changes. Err, why not try some pellet lube? It will improve the size of your groups and give you a better idea of where your pellets are hitting. Was there alot of wind that day? may be none of the above but it could help. 1 of 5
If your pellets are making a vertical line then the guns power is varying. Check it on a chrono. If the group is just all over and those pellets have been ok in the past then check the batch numbers. Different batches can give different results. Try other brands. Also check your barrel crown looks visibly ok. If that fails try a different scope in case you've dislodged the reticle.
