sharp_shooter
I am interested in buying the AGS S.W.A.T 4-16x56 mil-dot sidewheel parralex 30mm tube for my air rifle. I currently have a 6-24x42 and find the zoom to be to much but i like that bit extra for lineing up my scope. Is the change worth around £230? Is it springer rated? Is it as good as it sounds? Finally, do you think I should buy it?

Vulcha
I used a webley FX2000 with an AGS scope on it. My uncle managed to hit a crow while it was flying, so i guess they are pretty good.
The Jackal
a friend of mine has not long since purchased the above scope ( AGS S.W.A.T 4-16x56 ) ....what a scope, it puts my pro stalk 4+14+50 to shame the quality and clarity of the scope when fitted with the sunshade is out of this world, nice little side wheel without having to mess about using the parralax like i do on the front of my scope,......hope this helps ray........ 1 of 5
Good optics. Great build quality - BUT the dots are true mil-dot at 16 mag (most others are 10 mag) and as such are too widely spaced out IMO to be of any real use unless you intend to shoot on 16 mag. Seeing as most hunters will opt for around 6 to 10 mag to shoot on I feel AGS have misssed the point. Shame as the rest of the scope is top notch.
