I sent my sgc away this week so fingers crossed i will be looking for a shotgun soon. What gun would you suggest, it needs to be an over and under, 28/30inch barrels, able to take 3 inch magnums and am thinking about spending £300 to £400 tops second hand.

As i'm only new to all this i can only give you the advice i've recieved, i suggest going to a local gun shop and trying to find a gun that fits you it will be alot more important to get a gun that fits your body shape rather than your wallet, i'm not saying spend loads of money but give the shop a price range and they will try to find the gun that suits you and your wallet.

Try to go somewhere that allows you to try before you buy, thats what i did and have just put down a depoist on a browning 425. (can't get it properly until my licence comes through though LOL)

i picked up a lanber field for £120, the saftey catch has just gone, but at that price something had to give. Very nice handling gun, i love mine

Don't hear much going wrong with them, but like you say at that price you can't complain!! Barney is right though, forgot to say, yep whatever you get, make sure it fits you and shoots straight for you - ask to take it out and give it a try too! :good:
