Peter_HMR
Think the general consensus on these is good action and barrel terrible stock but will shoot ok as is
JohnGalway
If I were doing the buying I'd go VL SS, VS SF II or VLS before SPS. Just an opinion.

Browning
If I were doing the buying I'd go VL SS, VS SF II or VLS before SPS. Just an opinion. Absolutely agree with John on this one. I have an SPS Varmint in .243 and the standard stock is **** (No, I mean ****). I bedded mine into a Wild Dog stock and the outcome is a very accurate rifle. By the time you've messed around buying the SPS and a replacement stock, you may as well just go straight for the VLS or VSSF II. Fleabag
can you let us know if you manage to locate a vls in the UK please I spent a weeks wages phoning importers gun shops USA, etc could not get one until at least April, so I went 700 tactical 20` barrel and ya stock ****, but will do for now will buy better one later, works out about the same price though, so if you can wait go for the vls
