Teal
Have you tried putting half a rabbit in each side of the larsen yet alex?
Ferretboy111
Yeah ive tried it, and still no luck. Maybe my magpies arent as territorial as yet, lol. cant think why they dont want to trap themselves. Alex
Teal
That's really odd. I read somewhere they suggested that if magpies weren't going into the trap you can raise it off the ground which they don't like at all. Putting it on a hay bale or something- not tried it myself though (haven't needed to!).
catroofel
Putting it on a hay bale or something- not tried it myself though (haven't needed to!). i have tryed this on lots of occasions but found it most effective if you use the side entry larsen on the hay bails and have you tryed a make shift nest in a compartment with chickens eggs in normally works for me
Ferretboy111
Caught my first one this morning, i usually do try and raise it off the floor on something but the wind blew it off the otherday so its now on the floor. My friend uses the side doors, i wish i made one myself. Alex
