CERVUSHUNTER
hi everyone or anyone ! new to this game ! i have a problem with my sako 75 s/s 7mm 08 was wondering if anyone could help or has had a similar problem. here goes i will try to describe as best i can. think i can best do this as a series of actions 1. safely load gun 2. release safety fire at safe target 3. cycle bolt next round chambered empty ejected 4. gun should be ready to fire! no occasionally i can see bolt is not cocked-no red dot at bottom rear of bolt- this only seems to happen when i cycle fast. no problem when i cycle slowly. now heres the weird bit, if i hold the gun upside down and cycle it will not cock at all!!!!.ps i found this out while not cycling using live ammo. pps saturday morning was a good one for me if you can see attached photo. Graham M
The “catch overlap†between the sear and the bolt has been set too fine causing it to miss when the bolt is closed. This means that the firing pin isn’t held back and theoretically could cause a “Slam fire†which is just about your worst nightmare. Have you adjusted the trigger at all or has the spring been loosened off too much. If you are in doubt about doing the adjustment yourself then for gawds sake get it to a competent gunsmith to have a look at. G.M.
