swmac
I have never had any cycling problems with my Benelli M1 yet today its struggled to push a cartridge into the chamber. My gues is that the recoil spring needs cleaning or replacing, does any one know how to remove the spring or have any suggestions?
jayward
strip it down and look @ the receiver tube you will prob find that theres a way of removing the cap that holds the spring in place @ the bottom end of the tube generally its obvious alliteratively the receiver tube is screwed into the action normally there tight and require at least a soak in some penetrating oil don't be tempted to get the grips on the tube it will dent and them you will have problems it could be theres a little dirt in the tube so prior to this remove your trigger mech see your manual for this and then get some diesel works great as a cleaner and has lube oils or just some light oil and a brush its more likely dirty unless you have been ramming many carts in there !! give the tube a good clean and lube lol ... berettaman1
I had the same problem once on a Beretta Auto, as Jayward says probally the magazine spring and cap requiring cleaning. on the Beretta I did much the same as he suggested I pushed back the cap and spring and sprayed in WD 40 and it worked ok after
swmac
great feedback guys, she's working again 100%. The tube was full of grime, i managed to flush the tube out with carb cleaner by removing the trigger mechanism and the butt pad. Simple to do and very effective.
