bob300w
If I were you, I would follow up your letters with a visit, dress smartish, not cammo, people tend to get nervous when unknown urban warriors walk up their drive, be polite, join BASC before your visit as 10,000,000 quids worth of insurance may help swing it, and don't imply that you know it all, the majority of farmers also regularly shoot game and those that don't still possess a gun. Remember that other people probably shoot the land that you are after, and the land-owner probably knows knows them well, so don't put them down by implying that you will do something that they don't. AND, and this is the biggest point in your favour, if you have any skills, welding, motor repairer, plumber, whatever, tell him to feel free to call on your help if ever he has need of it. Oh, and when you do get permission, ask him if he would like any of your bag, and drop him off a bottle at Christmas. Best of luck! bob300w
Welcome to the forum I've never had a joy with letters it's better to get out and start talking to farmers cheers Dame Very true, these letters are the farmers junk mail! But they do give a lead in if you follow up with a visit.
