gazandjen
£159.95 rifle alone from uttings and about £40 for the scope - so it's about the going rate............
monkeyjaimz
I found the rifle online for 150, but couldnt find the scope for less than 60. So as above - it's about the going rate. The only plus is that if you live locally (pudsey ) then you can take it back if anything goes wrong. And although that guy is a miserable old ******, if you've bought your rifle from him, then he will tend to give you a good deal on a trade in when/if the time comes

monkeyjaimz
I've not held a HW99 so cant comment, but the TX is a fantastic springer - heavy and accurate. A friend of mine has 2 - one in .177 and one in .22 You need to ask the guy how old it is though, is it a mark I, mark II etc
laf
its about 2 years old in mint nick aswell
monkeyjaimz
its about 2 years old in mint nick aswell You can buy a brand new (with warranty) TX for 260 quid mate, so unless the scope is awesome then i'd say you'd be paying a bit too much for a 2 yr old rifle. Just my opinion.

Andy 01
Try here mate: http://www.allgunsdiscounted.co.uk/acatalo...Arms_TX200.html I think you will find that site has not been updated since pre VCR bill. £200 for a good condition TX MK3 is a good price. (Most dealers post VCR went to £300 for a beach version) What calibre ? Remember .177 is easier to sell on again than .22, being as the TX is well favoured with the target shooters. I shoot rabbits with a full length MK3 in .177, with great effect.

Andy 01
Then yes, I would say bite his hand off. If the condition is good, you are not going to loose money on this deal. Superb springer these. I have this and a Prosport in walnut, and looking to sell one soon to go to a PCP, but as much as I like the Prosport it will be the TX that stays in the cabinet Edited February 26, 2008 by Andy
Toby
i cant comment on how good either of these guns are but it sounds like the TX deal gets you alot more gun form your money! the TX also has great reviews (I read hundreds when thinking about getting one) toby
