airssassin
I believe that you can tempt in a magpie with an improvised nest. A few twigs and things arranged to look like a birds nest with a couple of chicken eggs in it (break one to really make them tempted). I have only tried this once but the ******* flew in and got the egg while I was taking a pee They really are sneaky pests!
Vagabond
To shoot maggies & crows, I use an old, kids stuffed rabbit and some of the Mrs mince from the freezer (thawed out). Make it look like a dead bunny with its guts coming out and they will come!!! If you shoot a maggie, stay put leave him where he is and within minutes there'll be another, quite often the case. I find using a hide is best.
