stirky
I had a look round some farms at the weekend in the hope of some sport, one farm is 100% wheat, two other farms have been planted with rape but its just not growing its not even come through yet, other fields are up to about 6-8" tall. I asked the farmer whats going on with these fields, he said they just havent come through yet but they were sown later than the others. It might provide some good shooting when it does come, as by then the fields that are growing will be too tall for the pigeons to reach
malkiserow
2 inch max on all my fields .... pigeons only hitting areas sheltered by trees for the past few windy days
anser2
Depends on the field and how hard the pigeons have been hitting it. In some barely 1 inch high in others a foot or more.
nav54
same here quite patchy all over the fields but the farmer has just put some top dressing on so it should now start to ick its self up soon.
