riktrik
i've used NV only a few times, but the best bit of advice i can give is to recon the area in the daylight first. trying to walk around in the dark is hard work, and using a torch normally startles your quarry. Look for obvious signs where pigeons, crows roost. loads of droppings under trees, feathers, crows nests etc. some is common sense. if you after shooting rats, it normally pays off to bait areas for a few nights running so they keep coming back, this way you can see tracks, routes they use, and pick a good spot to set up so every angle is covered. Sighting the scope is easily done in the day providing it has the correct cover with small hole in to minimise light intake. Cant offer to show you the ropes, just moved to malton and havent obtained any shoots yet. maybe your local shooting range might be able to accomodate you for an hour shoting in the dark? Hope this helps Rik
