dustyfox
I agree with HD you should know your quarry before you go out and shoot/hunt them. I got it drilled into me before I went shooting the do's and the don'ts. If he didnt know that the pheasant season was out whats his gun safety like? njc110381
We all have to start somewhere guys! This lad's got it a bit wrong, but there's no harm done. He's here asking all the right questions and in time he will learn from us. Lets not start having a go at him, if he gets fed up with it and leaves he's not going to learn anything is he? There are so many laws regarding shooting it takes time to learn it all. We've all got it wrong at some point I'm sure. My advice would be to keep reading the BASC guidelines. Most rules are in there somewhere
soreshoulder
dont give him to much stick, hes made a mistake but the good thing he is now learning from it. Although it is within the law to shoot pheasants in season with an air rifle, its not considered very sportsman like to do so. At least give them a chance as they are dumb as poo, but i can tell you they can fly bloody high and fast!! :o
