Bigbob
I went ferreting yesterday ,it was a field of set a side with 3 bankings round it and a stream on the other side .Last year it was surrounded by 50 hole burrows which we thumped then trapped what was left last summer with fenn mk6s in the burrows .This year i was struggling to find a open burrow they where all covered with white grass i found two open holes and ferreted them for nought .I then waded the burn and found a few burrows which i ferreted a got two rabbits and lost four which bolted out of covered burrow and gave the dog the slip ,But at least the breeding stock left for this year . Then i thought i was into a few more rabbits with the noise coming from the last burrow and i had to dig my two jills out at differnt points in the burrow only to find they where running about underground with young rabbits about a week or two old in there mouths
