hawkeye
hi lord geordie where do you shoot as i am struggling also to find land to go at i also was considering joing the nppc but like you £150 is a lot of money if you ever allow it i would appreciate going out for a shoot with you i am fully insured through the national gamkeepers cheers darren Darren! If I could I would LOVE to take any member out shooting but My shoot is on a 10.000 acre game estate and the keepers rules are (if you want to shoot here you work for it) his words not mine! I had to work a whole season (free of charge of course) at the cost of approx £500+ to secure my shooting and the keeper does not take kindly to us taking others that he does not know or trust! If you want shooting I would HIGHLY recommend approaching a keeper on a decent size local estate and asking them if they want beaters etc and work out a deal with the keeper (free beating for shooting out of season) you also get a few days game shooting at the end of the season which was MORE than worth the £500+ I lost out on I normally go shooting with Straight Shooter and even there we both need to WORK to keep the shoot clearing fallen trees repairing fences etc it's hard work at times but it's the only way to get shooting nowerdays. Alternativley you COULD always join the borders pest control incase any jobs come in in the local area! I will PM you the details!!! LG Cannot understand you Martin you could pay £125 to join the NPPC and practically have shooting all year round you say it is to expensive OK i can understand that if you are not working... but then you say you work all season for nothing at a cost of £500+ just to be able to shoot for a few months after the game season is finished. Does not seem right to me work and make the **** pay you then join the NPPC you will be over £350 into pocket  :yahoo:
