wildoliver
Just been up to the clay ground for a brief 50. After shooting dtl where I found over thinking the stand made me miss everything, and just pulling the gun through and pulling the trigger resulted in 90% first barrel kills went back to do a quick 50 of sporting. Same bloody thing! First stand could not hit the first bird for the life of me, fired about 20 at it until all of a sudden I switched the brain off and just pulled through and swatted it. No messing around getting gun mount right, worrying what the clays doing, looking at the bead just pick it up, swing through it and bang. Then had a good round actually! Funny old game....... Markio
Instinct. I suppose when we all started this lark we HAD to think about what we are doing, sounds like you've reached the point were you don't have to think about it so much but need to learn to let instinct take over. I'm always suggesting skeet as good practice because it helped me. I was a very slow shooter, thinking too much etc. With skeet in promotes attacking the target, as you say, getting on with it. I still try and think about where the gun hold should be on certain stands as that was identified and something that i needed to do.
