asap
Years ago when they first came out i think we used to use one from a mk2 fiesta . I think most go all the way around apart from rear wiper motors. Best bet go to ya local scrap yard and look at a few motors and see which ones are conected by linkages they are normaly ok, asap
2shots
Hi you need the old type motor from an old mini escort etc these motors spin the bars on cogs under the dash so only need to turn one way, the newer motors are worked through relays etc that make them go back and forward, some motors have about 6 wires and its just a case of finding the right pair, also most rear wiper motors on all older cars just spin one way,I made one from a reliant motor, hope this helps. lurcherboy
You have probably connected to the motor incorrectly. There are more than two terminals on your one aren't there? I have yet to see a wiper motor that changes direction LB

Merman
I was stripping an isuzu trooper a few weeks ago. The main wiper motor was connected by a linkage and just rotates normally. The wipers on the headlamps don't have a linkage and I'm pretty sure that they go back and forth. The main wiper motor has different connectors for different speeds, but once you've tried a few different combinations you should soon have it wired up correctly. It seems to me that there are two different types of motor out there. Whether your one can be rewired, I don't know. Merman
