Can you make jerky from rabbits, pigeons, squirrels?

I think to make jerky you just cover strips of meat (generaly beef I think) with salt and then either air it till dry or over a smoking fire until dry.

 

But can you make jerky strips out of pigeons, rabbits or squirrels?

 

I suppose you could jerky any meat you can slice thin enough

the salt preserves it and smoking partially cooks it and adds

flavour :good:
