clanchief
Ok after I got really soaked yesterday and gave up like a ****,dried all the nets in the garage with the tumble drier blowin its exhaust I thot i would venture out today if and when the rain eventually stopped, well at 3 pm the bloody big net was out 7 foot high by 5 foot wide with a roof and the john batley window bit, didnt it look good,i could get up to some right deviant stuff in this baby, any way out went the 12 decoys and a bouncer and i waited..............and waited,i know im under a flightline as it used continually all year long though only a trickle of birds round these parts as its mainly pasture land, well after a long wait for my first shot with the shiny new toy these pesky feral birds kept landing and they waited for 5 minutes.I wanted a woodie for my first shot and then the **** came back so bein right fed up at missin my first woodie and scunnered I rose into them and followed through on the lead bird coming low and fast straight at me and it crumpled just like I hoped but so did the bird behind and they both landed 20 feet to the right and the hedge, first time ever Ive had two birds with one shot and two dead in the air so im pretty chuffed. If I hadnt been sortin out peep holes in the desert net i got from field and forces I would have shot more than the six birds that lay dead at 5pm,not the best day Ive had but enjoyable none the same. I would love to be close to areas where they plant crops all year round but here they only plant one field of barley on each farm really so soon my stubbles will be ploughed in and I will need to listen to all your tales till next spring. clanchief
