Chris_UK
Just curious as to whether to buy a silencer for a BSA Supersport... do they really make a difference to the noise level ?
Axe
At the close ranges a springer works at and the noise of the action when it fires, a moderator is not really effective enough to warrant the spenditure. On a PCP however, the diffrence can well be heard or not heard as the case may be.

fillythebish
I got one for my HW90 with a gasram. It did reduce the crack quite alot, I think it was worth it and would do it again. But I think gasrams tend to be louder than springers.
cubix
I have a BSA lightening with a built in silencer - it works a little bit if you are not too close to it, but you still get a right crack up close when you fire, its more of a cocking aid and makes it look nice. I'd rather have one than not, but I'd never call mine quiet.
jamieshoots
I the gun is tuned and has a silencer fitted then it can be very quiet but for the average of the shelf springer there will still be a lot of noise even with the silencer fitted
