tommy trucker
played with a whistle in my local gun shop, i seemed to pick it up straight away (supose i'm just a jammy begger) i've only ever shot 1 fox with the shot gun that was whilst out shooting crows i dont take the shot gun out lamping its to noisey .............. if a fox is comming in like a steam train i just stop it where i would like to take the shot (just shout at it, generaly the just sit and look at you!!!!!!) you have enough time to take the shot safely you can see the whistle on the lanyard around my neck (same foxes)

red_stag88
The whistle is not cheap is it? Can you do it hand less? I have a scope like yours, a mildot Hawke Nite-eye IR. Bought it off PP for £80, and it's worth every penny (new it is £150)

Two different classes I know, but the idea is the same. I cant afford very expensive scopes, and this does me fine. Currently it is on my airgun, but will be upgraded to my .22. For the .30-06, I shall invest wisely in a Schmit and Bender.
