myzeneye
a daft question from a newbie.... sorry... as ive said in previos posts, im desperatly trying my best to get sorted with a shot gun cert...... im about to buy a gun cabinet for the application however, i can only afford a 2-3 gun cabinet, most of which dont have a lockable ammo store in..... the larger 4-5 gun cabinets do, but the ammo store does'nt seem very big at all so if i buy the 2-3, will i need to buy a seperate lockable ammo safe ? ( more cost!!!- still got a gun to buy !!!) in short, when the feo pays his visit to inspect my gun cabinet, will he be expecting to see a safe for the cartridges as well. ? i will get one in time, for saftey/security issues, but if i can get aroung it now, ill be a step closer to getting up and running.... (peter-peter has already kindly answered this for me on another threed but i would like more opinions on the matter as my sg application guide book doesnt mention it .... thanks... Andy H
Hello there , you do not need secure storage for shotgun ammunition , if you want you can keep it in any place you want to but if at a later date you want to go to section 1 firearms (22rimfire/17hmr) you will need a secure storage for the ammunition separate from the S1 rifles. hope this helps cheers

InGen
as they all say no you dont but you might want to get an ammo box you can lock with a padlock or something so people cant just open it.
