Spaniel
Hi My Springer pup is now 4.5 months old, i feed her on Autarky puppy food. I started Lead work as just putting it on her for a minute or two at around 9 weeks old to be honest. She is walking lovely on the lead at present. Training just keep it fun, but as soon as the pup starts to come to you, just call its name and give it loads of praise when it comes to you. Now that mine is coming to me each time, i have introduce a couple of peeps on the whistle which again she is responding to. I also give mine the sit command when feeding they soon catch on.(Again just starting with voice command but now at my pup age i also give a pip on the whistle at the same time she sits. I also give mine the odd retrieve of a tennis ball but max i do is 2 per day, if that.... Just keep it fun. Hope this helps but just dont overdo things its only a baby.. Get yourself Joe Irvings Training Spaniels Book, it is really good All the best Ian
