moulty
My friend and I are relatively new to shooting pigeons with shotguns and have been reading up for some time (partly using this forum) on the best way to go about decoying. We have had two attempts in the past but with no joy...... I think that we have not been setting up in the right field, so we changed tac' today.... ....however today we had our first breakthrough (on a recently cut field with clover popping through) and shot about 20 in the 1 and a half hours that we were there. It may not sound many to some "seasoned pro's" but we came away pretty chuffed with ourselves. We could have bagged a few more had we hit all opportunities. Just had some sausage, bacon, black pud and Pidge' for supper.... can't wait until next time. :-> Moulty Edited July 6, 2008 by moulty
biakalblaster
just like me, had a breakthrough weekend too! - we just need to keep on practicing if we get the opportunities! well done
Cranfield
To shoot 20 birds in a session, especially a very short one, is excellent going. We all enjoy the days when it all comes together and you get a big bag, but most of the time I am shooting less than 20 birds a session.
