el-chimbo Posted July 21, 2008 Report Share Posted July 21, 2008 just bought a benelli nova 12g 3 and half '' chambered pump.. beautiful looking tool.. but! theres a button on the underside of the fore-end, about the size of a postage stamp...?? doesn't seem to do anything when pressed apart from make a click noise? flippermaj Posted July 22, 2008 Report Share Posted July 22, 2008 I think if you hold down the correct button you can pump one un used cart out and it doesn't cycle the next in in, allows a quick change to a hevy load cart for a single shot if needed? neil smith Posted July 23, 2008 Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 :yp: correct it is the magazine cut off button and its a **** to press flippermaj & harv are correct, Pressing and holding the small button in on the forend & also the bolt release in front of the trigger guard while pumping the gun will eject the live round in the chamber but prevents any rounds still in the magazine from feeding out onto the carrier allowing you to simply change to a different type of ammo (buckshot or slug) by throwing a shell in through the ejection port and closing the action on it.
