ochre
Have been trying to increase accuracy in the field and have been considering either a bipod or some shooting sticks. What do you guys recommend? Are bipods easy to fit - don't want to mackle my nice walnut stock?! :(
red_stag88
If you are shooting roe and red you have time to lie down. Fallow - no chance. A bipod will fit over the QD swivel stud on your sling. If you want to take standing shots - use a pair of shooting sticks or a thumb stick. red_stag88
:( :*) Sorry, went straight into stalking mode. With rabbits, a bipod is fine.
Vermin Dropper
A bipod is a good piece of kit and you can buy fixed or clip on ones, I didn't want to make a mess of my stock either so I got a clip on bipod (from e-bay) it's fine for my air rifle but I wouldn't want to use it on a rifle with any kick. I also carry a thumb stick for any longish standing shots but you do get some side movement unless you attach a second stick ( like a stand up bipod I guess) here is a clip on one on e-bay:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...7115252290&rd=1 its about £6 i think and there is one for "£9 buy it now" worth trying out at that price. ochre
Thanks mate. Would be tempted to have a metal tilt and swivel bipod fitted by someone that knows what they're doing, as long as it wasn't too expensive.
