The other issue, which revolves around me being in Ireland and most contributers in UK, and what is becoming the most important issue is the fact I'm restricted to using factory ammo, so we're back to Bob's input again. I'm particularly interested in how the boffins on here will specifically deal with issue no.3 I think the 'boffin' word may scare most people off John. You don,t push the distance too far on your shots and don,t shoot a lot of rounds in quick succesion...besides up there in the mountains,the barrel will cool down quicker anyway Is there no-one near you with a lighter barrelled rifle that you could try out?
