caplock
Hi all having a clearout and up for sale are two very interesting books, ideal for the forthcoming winter evenings. Both by the Lonsdale library and date from 1929 and 1930 they are Foxhunting and Shooting by Moor, Field and Shore. A wealth of info as relavent today as when they were written (apart from the hunting with hounds section ) All manner of subjects covered from quarry, pests, guns, dogs, and loads of countryside info and correct procedures when undertaking 'ones' sport afield. Nicely illustrated throughout they are a fascinating read and apart from the clothing and language used very usefull today. £50 posted for the pair Thanks for looking Edited September 30, 2008 by caplock
