Right all, I`m in the market for a new pair of bino`s

been to the local shop (no not that sort!!) and had a good chat with the bloke in there, tried a few pairs, but settled on a set of Vortex Viper 10x42.

Can anyone give me their opinon of em, or recommend anything better before I part with my cash?

Tried em out in the street, and I have to say, for the money (£290) I was very impressed with the clarity and focus.

Opinions please o wise ones..........

if your not in a hurry i.e. ordering from the states i would check leupold mk4 tactical in 10x50.

these were developed for the us military coming with option of mildot, tmr reticles or without either.

i bought the non reticle version for 600 dollars but can be found for less than 500 now and maybe 30 quid import tax.

i also have a set of swarovski el's 10x42 which i bought off CHARD so there probably fake  and can honestly say i cannot tell the difference in detail and

clarity other than probably at last light.

there a crappy desert tan colour but can be sprayed or taped.

if your up my neck of the woods feel free to try them.

I've gone on about them on here a few times I know, but have a look through some Swift's. The 828 HHS is around the same size. Fantastic quality for the money.

Do try out any choices before buying, they can vary between models, and some just might not suit you.

Mail order is a bit of a leap of faith with optics I find.
