seb
Went out tonight on my little permission but it didn't go that well. Was not far from my lanny when I saw a car pull up on the lane the other side of the hedge to my lanny, I was not far away and was thinking there was no reason for anyone to stop there and it was strange. I put my gun away then all of a sudden bangs and explosions! I thought what the **** is going on! Realised it was a big multi firework jumped in my lanny and started it up. Heard some lads shout **** theres someone there quick, they jumped in their car and went speeding off. I didn't get chance to even get a description of the car or number plate they were that quick. After all the bangs I thought any rabbit will be gone by now. Drove further down the lane where the lads had come from and in the lay-by there was a bin in flames along with the hedgerow with another firework next to it. Called the fire brigade and by the time she had actually took the details the fire was twice as bad...doh I didn't have anything to put it out with. Anyway it was right near a farmhouse (one I have written to to try and get permission) I thought I better tell the owner his hedge is on fire. Knocked the door and he seemed a little worried, I don't blame him, someone knocking your door at 10pm in cammo! He said thanks through the window but didn't come out. The amount of rabbits on his drive though, I was nearly running them over with the lanny they were diving out the way of the wheels. I though he could definitely do with some pest control. Anyway waited around for the fire brigade who didn't turn up, the farmer never came out either and in the end I just came home. I will have a look tomorrow to see the damage, hopefully I will see the farmer again and I can ask about the rabbits you never know.
Imperfection
When you hear stories like that involving thoughtless kids-i can understand why some animals eat their young. Hopefully being the good samaritan might pay off and get you permission.
