malkiserow
Thanks guys, I ask because I have 2.3/4 chambers on my Miroku and it is marked up as 3.1/4 Tons per sq inch I bought some 70mm cats today but reading the small print it states minimum 850 BARS which seems to equate to 5.5 tons per sq inch ! HW682
Hi, I have some Hull special pigeon to hand which state an imperial proof of 3 1/4 ton per sq in or metric proof of 850Bar. If I recall correctly, the imperial and metric proofs are actually measured in a different way so you cannot do a direct conversion. auto culto
14.75 psi = 1 bar (near as damn it) so work convert your tons to pounds then divide by 14.
HW682
1 Bar = 14.5 psi so for ordinary conversion, 3 1/4 tons per sq in = 3.25 *2240 = 7280 psi divide by 14.5 = 502 bar (as above) However, as stated you cannot convert from imperial to metric proofs unless they were measured using the same method.
