Cosd
I have a Browning Medallist but can't find whether or not it is proofed for steel shot. Does anyone know the answer? A friend also has a Bettinsoli Diamond and wants to know the same. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for that.
Hardwoods Green
The Medalist will definately not be steel proofed as it will undoubtedly be too old, the Bettinsoli might be. It is not a good idea to use steel even in a gun that has steel proofed chokes as steel proof tests require a lot more pressure and using steel in this case can damage your gun over time. Oh and remember nothing tighter than half choke as an absolute maximum
